A security guard was killed after part of an under-construction bridge structure collapsed near Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
According to rescue officials, the victim was performing security duties at the construction site when the structure collapsed. His identity had not been confirmed at the time of the initial report.
Rescue teams recovered the body from the site and shifted it to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Officials said the rescue operation was completed and no further casualties were reported from the debris.
