His death was reported on Monday, September 21, with Saudi and regional media citing posts from accounts associated with the Haramain. Sheikh Ibrahim was widely known for his service at the Grand Mosque and for his distinctive call to prayer, particularly during Fajr.

A tribute shared by Inside the Haramain recalled Sheikh Ibrahim’s deep devotion to worship. According to the post, he would at times spend extended periods in the Mukabbariyah — the area used by muezzins inside Masjid al-Haram — especially during the final hours of the night, dedicating his time to prayer and spiritual devotion.
