FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi has arrested a man accused of taking Rs760,000 from a citizen on the promise of arranging employment in the UAE without being a registered overseas employment promoter.
The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Karachi has arrested a man in connection with an alleged overseas employment fraud involving a job offer in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the FIA, the suspect, identified as Rais Ahmed Alvi, son of Ejaz Ahmed, allegedly received Rs760,000 from a citizen after promising to arrange employment in the UAE.
Investigators said the suspect was not registered as an Overseas Employment Promoter, raising questions over his authority to collect money for overseas recruitment.
The FIA said a case has been registered against the suspect under Section 22-B of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979, while further investigation is underway.
Officials said investigators have also obtained banking records and other documentary evidence as part of the inquiry.
The agency is now examining whether other individuals or facilitators were allegedly involved in the scheme and whether additional victims may be linked to the case.
The allegations against the suspect remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings, and final responsibility will be determined by the court.
