Pakistan booked their place in the Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket final after defeating Bangladesh by six wickets in a rain-affected semi-final in Nisshin, Japan.

After Pakistan opted to field, Bangladesh posted 111 for seven in 13 overs. Towhid Hridoy top-scored with 42, while Pakistan’s Sufyan Moqim claimed three wickets and Arafat Minhas took two.

Pakistan faced early pressure during the chase and slipped to 53 for four, but Hasan Nawaz and Abdul Samad steadied the innings with an unbeaten 59-run partnership.

Hasan remained not out on 27, while Samad struck an unbeaten 30 off 15 balls, guiding Pakistan to 112 for four in 11.3 overs and sealing victory with nine balls remaining.

The victory sends Pakistan into the Asian Games cricket final, keeping their gold-medal campaign alive.
