FIA Immigration Karachi offloaded three Pakistani passengers travelling on Umrah visas after additional Bahrain and Palau visas were discovered during screening at Jinnah International Airport.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Karachi offloaded three Pakistani passengers at Jinnah International Airport after officials raised concerns over their travel plans.
According to the FIA, the passengers — Nadeem Iqbal, Shehzad Ali and Samar Shehzad — were travelling on Umrah visas when immigration officials subjected them to further scrutiny.
During the screening process, authorities also found visas for Bahrain and the Republic of Palau in their travel documents.
FIA officials allege that the passengers planned to travel through Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to Palau, before attempting to reach Australia through irregular channels.
The passengers reportedly told investigators that they had paid an agent Rs2.5 million each for the journey.
Following preliminary questioning, all three were handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking and Smuggling Circle Karachi for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Authorities are now investigating the alleged travel network and the role of the agent involved.
